A plane landed at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport (Seine-Saint-Denis) on Thursday, June 3, 2021, following the suspicion of the presence of a bomb on board.
The inter-ministerial crisis unit opened on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the request of the Prime Minister following a “suspicion of the presence of an explosive device on an Air France flight (AF865) between Ndjamena, Chad and Paris,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Evacuated passengers
The plane hit Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle (Seine-Saint-Denis) airport “without incident” at 4:01 p.m. and was isolated, the ministry said. The passengers were able to get off and the removal of suspicions is in process.
According to an airport source, during the flight, a man managed to tune in to the radio frequency and broadcast a bomb threat. “The pilot notified the company and the plane was escorted by a Rafale to Roissy,” the source added.
