Kryeministri i Shqipërisë, Edi Rama ka shprehur rezervat e tij ndaj planit të Kosovës për të paditur Serbinë në Gjykatën Ndërkombëtare të Drejtësisë për gjenocid.
Në një intervistë për Euronews Serbia, Rama ka nënvizuar se palët duhet të fokusohen tek e ardhmja për të zgjidhur njëherë e mirë problemet e së shkuarës.
Por megjithatë, vendimi përfundimtar sipas tij i takon klasës politike në Prishtinë dhe jo Tiranës zyrtare.
“Së pari, kjo është një çështje shumë e komplikuar në aspektin e përmbajtjes ligjore. Së dyti, unë mendoj dhe e kam thënë publikisht, në bisedime dhe po jua them edhe juve, ne duhet të fokusohemi tek zgjidhja e këtij konflikti dhe tek e ardhmja. Dhe ne duhet të mendojmë më shumë se sa vite mund të vazhdojmë të humbim duke mos zgjidhur këtë konflikt. Nuk ka fitues pa zgjidhje. Gjenocid është një fjalë shumë mirë e përkufizuar në arkitekturën juridike të njerëzimit dhe mendoj se do të ishte jo një iniciative që do të sillte rezultate, që do të ndihmonte paqen dhe bashkëpunimin, por është një vendim i pavarur i tyre dhe jo i imi apo i shqiptarëve”, tha Rama.
I pyetur nëse do ta mbështeste padinë në rast se Kosova ia kërkon një gjë të tillë, Rama ka sugjeruar se pala kosovare, pavarësisht së drejtës autonome për të vendosur, duhet më parë të ndjekë një shteg konsultimesh me aleatët dhe partnerët e saj.
“Ne kemi qenë shumë të qartë, më shumë se njëherë. Parlamenti shqiptar ka miratuar shumë rezoluta në historinë e tij dhe gjëja e fundit për të thënë, dhe është shumë e rëndësishme, është se ne nuk jetojmë në një botë ku jemi të vetëm. Ndaj kemi partnerë dhe aleatë. Vetë Kosova është një realitet i ri që është rezultat i përpjekjeve madhore brenda dhe jashtë Kosovës. Ndaj kjo lloj ideje madhore apo vendime madhore nuk duhet të merren vetëm pse dikush mendon ashtu, por duhen marrë përmes një shtegu të qartë konsultimesh dhe duke dëgjuar partnerët dhe aleatët dhe deri më sot nuk kam dëgjuar askënd të mbështesë këtë ide. E kam fjalën për partnerët dhe aleatët”, shtoi ai.
Duke iu përgjigjur interesit të Euronews Serbia, Rama ka theksuar se e ardhmja e Ballkanit perëndimor është në BE dhe për ta arritur këtë palët, sipas tij, duhet të bashkëpunojnë për të tejkaluar dallimet mes tyre.

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama has expressed his reservations about Kosovo’s plan to sue Serbia in the International Court of Justice for genocide.
In an interview with Euronews Serbia, Rama underlined that the parties should focus on the future to solve the problems of the past once and for all.
However, according to him, the final decision belongs to the political class in Prishtina and not to official Tirana.
“First, this is a very complicated issue in terms of legal content. Secondly, I think and I have said it publicly, in the talks and I am telling you too, we need to focus on resolving this conflict and the future. And we need to think more than how many years we can continue to lose by not resolving this conflict. There are no winners without solutions. Genocide is a very well defined word in the legal architecture of humanity and I think it would not be an initiative that would bring results, that would help peace and cooperation, but it is an independent decision of theirs and not mine or Albanians “, said Rama.
Asked whether he would support the lawsuit in case Kosovo asks him to do so, Rama suggested that the Kosovar side, despite the autonomous right to decide, should first follow a path of consultations with its allies and partners.
“We have been very clear, more than once. The Albanian Parliament has adopted many resolutions in its history and the last thing to say, and it is very important, is that we do not live in a world where we are alone. So we have partners and allies. Kosovo itself is a new reality that is the result of major efforts inside and outside Kosovo. So this kind of major idea or major decision should not be made just because someone thinks so, but should be made through a clear path of consultation and listening to partners and allies and to date I have not heard anyone support this idea. “I am talking about partners and allies,” he added.
Responding to the interest of Euronews Serbia, Rama stressed that the future of the Western Balkans is in the EU and to achieve this the parties, according to him, should cooperate to overcome the differences between them.
For Rama, Minischengen is the best example of this cooperation.
